Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was when he was in college. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active on film and television it is his characters on the small screen that earned him a cult fan following. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either side of the legal system. His first television show, he was a serial murderer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD Investigator. Multiple times he was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive face features is thought to be his piercing blue eye that has allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. He was listed on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
